Campo de’ Fiori is one of the liveliest squares in the city. Each morning it hosts the
homonymous historical market dating back since medieval times. After lunch though
the market closes down, all vendors take their stands and products away leaving
space for the nightlife to flourish: you can enjoy a happy hour, stroll around the
cobblestone streets trying to choose where to enjoy dinner from the vast
assortment of typical Roman Osteria and Trattoria. Do you feel like having a
carbonara? Or is it pizza night? Who has the best house wine? And what’s for
Together we will experience the best that this beautiful historical area has to offer.
We will start as proper local tradition requires, with a happy hour – or aperitivo, as
we call it – enjoying a refreshing glass of Prosecco accompanied by a selection of
Afterwards, we will visit a local favorite enoteca where we will discover some of the
most exclusive, special wines from the owners’ selection. You will also enjoy a
selection of cheeses with homemade fruit jams and a very exclusive high-end food
item (will be the surprise of the evening!)
Next, we go to a typical bakery and have a tasting of traditional Roman pizza by the
cut. They will have different flavors ready from which you can choose. You must
decide on at least three of them!
Dinner comes next in the form of pasta tastings: two typical Roman pasta dishes,
with wine, in a very picturesque, typical Roman Osteria.
Tiramisu’ for dessert! We will go to a specialized shop and taste their delicious
homemade tiramisu’. You can choose from classic, pistachio, chocolate or any
variety of the day.
I’m not putting up a predetermined tasting menu’ since it will be a mixture of what’s
in season and what your preference will be. Whatever your choice from all the
delicacies that the local food scene has to offer, be certain it will taste divine!
